This event took place online October 29, 2013
For most tech products, materials cost of goods sold can equate to 80% of the product cost. Unfortunately, not every manufacturing and supply chain executive cares the same way about what you feel is important to you and your Company the same way you do when its your product’s marketshare, and your reputation, on the line.
Whether a tech OEM is re-shoring or near-shoring, if the tech OEM is not producing it’s brand of product itself, the company’s outsourcing their operation to ODM or EMS provider partners for a number of reasons it makes sense for them to do so.
In the beginning of the relationship, both sides are typically sizing each other up.
In such situations, the OEM program transfer into his provider can often times set the tone for the duration of the OEM-EMS relationship.
This Webinar was 1 hour and included a 15 minute Q&A with the speaker. After this Webinar concluded attendees were able to do the following:
- Spot trouble areas when staging OEM product transfers
- Better manage OEM program materials / documentation
- Recognize how to accelerate OEM cost reductions
- Know how to keep product TTM schedules on track
- Drive provider performance from product transfer start, to ramp-to-manufacturing volume
