In 2012, registered members in our free, GlobalNet community doubled and all Website stats improved sharply. All of those readers who registered, and the improvements in site metrics are the result of our continued commitment to our farsighted focus keeping our efforts aligned with interests of electronics industry corporate decision makers responsible for purchasing; finance, engineering, manufacturing and supply chain logistics.
We recognize business decisions of our readers responsible for electronics product design and manufacturing supply chain operations are becoming more complex each year and we are proud to have been given the opportunity to serve you.
We will continue to collaborate with our readers and registered site users to create more value in our site and our social networking community.
Below are a few tips to help registered users in our fast-growing community.
Optimize your profile: Profiles displaying a personal image of the user, plus plenty of information in the ‘About Me’ and ‘My thoughts on…’ sections tend to get more visits by other site users. These profiles also get more opportunities for personal messages from other users by a factor of at least 3x. The ‘About Me’ and ‘My thoughts on…’ sections are designed to make it easy for users to find common experiences / interests and encourage users to reach out to one another.
Community Digest: Sent by email to all registered GlobalNet user email inboxes, GlobalNet Community Digest is in HTML format and includes links to recent posts by community members, so know that when you post, all registered users will see a link to your posts in their inbox in their Community Digest.
Other features
We also encourage new users to introduce themselves to the community where they can promote their company or services, and to visit the forums and post or answer questions (Q&A does not require log in). If you are logged in when posting questions, you will be notified by email whenever other users posts an answer to your question.

Unlimited messaging
Exchange unlimited private messages with any user. You can also track private messages sent and received.
Add to My Contacts
link in any user profile to create your private list of users. Only you can see and access your list. Use this feature to keep track of people as the community grows. You can access your ‘My Contacts’ list by clicking the ‘My Contacts’ link located top of the page in the gray bar (must be logged in) or from your profile page.
Add to My Library
Logged in users also have the option to save site content for future reference by clicking the ‘Add to My Library’ button
We also created a GlobalNet badge for displaying on your Website, which links back to your GlobalNet profile. Registered community members can access and copy their badge code, to embed and display on their Website, by selecting the ‘My Badge’ tab from their profile page.
